Chalets in Dhahban, North Jeddah

The quiet end of North Jeddah.

Dhahban is where Jeddah runs out of towers: low walls, open sky and the sea a short walk away. Our four chalets sit in the middle of it.

Why Dhahban

People come to Dhahban for the same reason we built here: it is still quiet after dark, and you can hear the sea from the street.

Dhahban sits on the coast just north of North Obhur, past the last of the big resorts. The streets are residential and the plots are walled, so a chalet here feels like a house of your own rather than a room in a complex. It is the closest you get to a night out of the city while staying inside North Jeddah.

Minutes away

Everything is close. Nothing is next door.

Jeddah families think in minutes, not kilometres, so here are the minutes. Only the beach walk is measured so far; the drive times are estimates until we time them.

  1. Salman Bay beach 6–8 min walk
  2. North Obhur 10 min drive Draft
  3. Al Buhairat cafés & restaurants 8 min drive Draft
  4. Siyan Water Park 15 min drive Draft
  5. King Abdulaziz Airport 30 min drive Draft

The beach

Not on the beach. A short walk from it.

We are not on the waterfront and there is no sea view, and we would rather say so here than have you find out at the gate. What you do get is Salman Bay beach six to eight minutes away on foot.

Swim in the sea in the afternoon, walk back, rinse off in a pool nobody else uses. Most guests do exactly that.
